Solidity is a programming language used for writing and deploying smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. It is an object-oriented, high-level language specifically designed to implement the logic behind decentralized applications (dApps). Solidity allows developers to create and execute complex smart contracts that can handle everything from financial transactions to governance protocols. As Ethereum is the most widely used platform for DeFi and NFTs, Solidity has become the dominant language for smart contract development. Example: The popular decentralized exchange Uniswap was built using smart contracts coded in Solidity.
